About Us
How it began
Growing up with a father who was a master carpenter, and related areas, he taught us everything he knew (that we would allow him to teach us at the time). Unfortunately, it took us a while to actively get back involved in the craft he did so well. He passed away in 2008 and we recently decided to start working again in his memory. Taking the knowledge we learned from him, along with some help from those close to us, and a good set of tools, we began to create woodworking items of our own. After hearing from several family and friends “you all can sell some of these”, we decided to start a website and here we are..
Woodworking Process:
Each piece is handmade, one of a kind. We begin with an idea, transfer this to a design on paper we can use as a guideline to transfer to the wood we are going to cut. The wood we use varies depending on the design. We use a variety from basic pine to exotic woods such as zebrawood. Once the design is transferred, we use a combination of saws to cut the piece out (including but not limited to table saw, miter saw, circular saw, jigsaw, scroll saw) and of course a lot of sanding to get the smoothest finish possible. We then finish the pieces with products such as paint, stain, polyurethane, among other things. We take pride in the items we create and don’t send out items we wouldn’t want displayed in our own homes.
