Growing up with a father who was a master carpenter, and related areas, he taught us everything he knew (that we would allow him to teach us at the time). Unfortunately, it took us a while to actively get back involved in the craft he did so well. He passed away in 2008 and we recently decided to start working again in his memory. Taking the knowledge we learned from him, along with some help from those close to us, and a good set of tools, we began to create woodworking items of our own. After hearing from several family and friends “you all can sell some of these”, we decided to start a website and here we are..
Each piece is hand crafted, one of a kind. We begin with an idea, transfer this to a design on paper we can use as a guideline to transfer to the wood we are going to cut. The wood we use varies depending on the design. We use a variety from basic pine to exotic woods such as zebrawood. Once the design is transferred, we use a combination of saws to cut the piece out (including but not limited to table saw, miter saw, circular saw, jigsaw, scroll saw) and of course a lot of sanding to get the smoothest finish possible. We then finish the pieces with products such as paint, stain, polyurethane, among other things. We take pride in the items we create and don’t send out items we wouldn’t want displayed in our own homes.
All items are hand crafted and there may be minor inconsistencies between what is shown on the site and the piece you receive. Different types of wood also take stains differently and colors can look different than what you see on your screen. These are individually cut and hand crafted. Because of the nature of the work (all cut by hand largely on scroll saw, all sales are final).
